It seems that every day one of our neighborhood pets gets loose. Most often a caring neighbor finds the animal and then spends time trying to track down the owner. While at the same time the owner is looking for the pet. Many times the search efforts only cross paths after a considerable amount of time.
Below is a link to use to look for your pet or report it lost. If you found a pet, use the link to search for the owner or report if found. This will be much easier than posting signs on the mailboxes, light poles, etc.
Here are some tips -
1. Keep the pet at your location, it is probably not too far from home.
2. Many pets today have been microchipped. The pet can be scanned to findout
who owns the animal. Take the pet to a local vet or a shelter to have it scanned.
3. Also, report the pet to the Houston Humane Society by calling 713-433-6421.
